A group of selfless volunteers in Chennai have joined to form the Nammaku Nammey Chennai team. The team has been distributing groceries, rice kanji, masks, medicines, oxygen cylinders and concentrators, PPE kits, fruits, buttermilk, juices, and other essentials to people affected by Covid-19. The different beneficiaries are frontline corona workers, pregnant women, leper colonies, and other underprivileged people who find it difficult to meet ends meet during corona. The group has also been co-ordinating individual requests for medical help and oxygen.
The recent initiative of the
team is the #MaskUpIndia to protect the children from the predicted third wave
of Corona. The team has started distributing masks to children in different areas
as a part of this initiative.
Some of our volunteers have
been featured in the Dettol Salutes campaign for Corona Warriors.
The group is getting continuous
requests from people in need. We need funds to continue helping the needy. If
