‘Eureka Run’ is an event for people of all ages and levels of fitness who can run/jog/walk a 5km distance along the Marina beach to show support for the cause of quality education in the state. In its second year, the Eureka run hopes to raise enough money to support the education of 1,500 children in some of the poorest hamlets of Tamil Nadu, but more importantly shed light on the desperate need for change in the quality of education the poorest receive.

A "Eureka Run" was organised in 2010 on Children's Day to raise awareness about the quality of education the poorest in TamilNadu receive. A total of 1,500 runners aged between 2 and 75 years showed their support running the same 5 kilometer stretch. The money raised at this event has transformed the lives of 500 children.
