The "MITHRAN DEVANESAN MEMORIAL LIBRARY " has been opened at the Dr.CDRCC college in Karnai village on 19th January 2011. Mrs.Savitri Devanesan and Dr. Dayalan Devanesan opened the library in the presence of students and staff members of the college. A boy and girl student of the college cut the ribbon to open the library.
The library was a vision of Late Mithran. During a casual discussion in June 2010, he had expressed a desire that if we planned properly, the library can be up and running by Pongal of 2011. Sekri Foundation is very thankful to Mithran for this idea. Though our intention was to open just a Library to serve the students and villagers of the area, little did we know then that fate would force us to dedicate it to Mithran's memory.
The library needs books in Tamil and simple English to add to its collection. Topics of general nature are preferred. If any one has such books, please do email sekrifoundation@gmail.com. We are sure that the books will benefit visitors of the library.
