Missing Beats of Eugene Xavier

It was a misfortune to hear about the demise of Beats music troupe keyboard player Eugene Xavier on Deepavali day. The name Eugene evoked an awe in me. He was a Ph.D in engineering and authored quite a few books. He held very high positions at Infosys and Hexaware.

He was my senior at Anna University, but i never met him during college days. I first saw him in 2009 when CEG music troupe members met for an informal rendezvous at D'Mellos. Eugene organized the music bash and bore all the expenses. He was an enthusiastic and cheerful soul.

All the Beats music troupe members are in shock as Eugene is just 44+. Eugene is survived by his wife and daughter. We pray for his soul to rest in peace. We will surely miss you Eugene at all our future rendezvous.

Eugene is really a great human. Hexaware really lost a great leader. He had a great passion in teaching. Though he is an AVP in Hexaware, he managed to lecture us(freshers) on Software Engineering for two days. Its really sad that our batch happened to be his set of students. He used to share his experiences in academic field, music, books, etc. May his soul rest in peace..

It was shocking to hear of his demise. I used to work with him while I was at Hexaware and have never seen a more optimistic person, even during troubled times. He was a very approchable, grounded and well respected leader. A big loss to the industry. Rest in Peace!!!

I knew Dr.Eugene very briefly having met him just twice first at KCG College where he was the keynote speaker and later when i invited him to Crescent for a panel discussion. But, i knew of him through my colleagues in KCG college and Anna Univ. He was great inspiring orator who had the knack of knowing the audience. This is a great great loss to everyone who has met him and the Academia in particular. Pls send his home address to shrionsong@yahoo.com

My name is E. Daniel Jothikumar, I was Eugene's classmate in Little Flower Higher Secondary school Salem. His father Mr. Papu Antony was my maths teacher. I haven't met Eugene after school days as i moved out to Madurai, then to Chennai. But only once in the year 2009 i happened to get his contact number and spoke to him. He was thrilled to know that i am in Chennai and promised to meet me soon, but it never happened. Today (04-11-2013) i saw his photo in the Obituary column and was shocked.....it brought back many memories form the past.....i pray for his family, specially for his wife and daughter....may god himself fill the void and strengthen them. May he fill them with peace and confidence, providing everything they require in their life. E.Daniel Jothikumar, Chennai Mbl: 9940670284 (I am working for M/s.Karaikal Port)
