Paa, is a pleasant movie by director Balki. You are awe struck when a simple saree clad Jaya Bachan introduces the actor names. It is refreshing to hear two old Tamil melodies of Ilayaraja with a new refreshing beat - Halke Se Bole(Putham puthu Kaalai) and Ghum Sum Ghum(Sandhathil Padatha Kavithaigal ...).
Progeria, a chromosome disorder that causes premature ageing in children, is the key point of the movie. The fact that both Vidya Balan and Amitabh Bachan have won the Filmfare Best Actress/Actor awards for Paa movie, speaks volumes of how both of them have lived their roles. Don't miss this rare movie.
