French National Day Celebrations at Alliance Francaise

Alliance Francaise of Madras organized cultural events on July 14th to celebrate French Day. The students enacted skits, sang, and played the flute too. The music session was followed by a cookery session by French Chef Mickael Besse (who was with Food & Beverages section of Satyam Cinemas). Mickael Besse cooked (rather baked) Choco Gingerbread and Choco Ball. He had the ingredients but roped in the audience to cook by giving instructions to them. It was a very interactive session where we got to savor few pieces of the bread and choco ball!! Mickael Besse will start his own hospitality development consultancy in few months. Francoise Carret entertained us with her stunning Bharatanatyam performance. She danced for five numbers choreographed by Dr. Padma Subramaniam. Carret’s moves were elegant, swift, and beautiful to watch.

I enjoyed watching the French Ball in which both young and old danced with delight to lilting music. It was a great day and entry was free too ;)
