This is an exciting year for One Day, One Story of Pratham Books as it enters Season 10. The Pratham Books champions around the world will bring out their wonderful storytelling skills to celebrate International Literacy Day on September 8th. This is the second year the sessions will be online due to the pandemic.
The story for this year 'Sathya,
Watch Out' was written by Yamini Vijayan and illustrated by Vishnu M Nair. This
Level 2 story has been selected by Pratham books after voting and is suitable
for children from the ages of 6 to 8 or close to it.
Satya, Watch Out is an
action-packed story. Satya can never stay still. He always runs and jumps and
spins and rolls. One day, he goes to the farm with his Amma. There Satya hops
like a hare and paddles like a duck. He moves like many more animals. Finally,
at the end of the day, Satya flies away in a dream. The book ends with the
description of the movements of many more animals.
I'm Anitha Selvanathan and I’m a
reading champion of Pratham Books. I have so far read aloud 7 storybooks of
Pratham Books at different schools, NGOs, and online. Satya, Watch Out is the
eighth book I'm reading aloud for Pratham Books and the second online session. Do
share the Satya, Watch Out story with children, parents, and friend groups.
My read aloud of 'Satya, Watch Out' YouTube video is given below.
Happy Listening and Story Time :)
