I wanted to write a bilingual story book after i heard that children warmed up to a story in their mother tongue and English. My aunt Banu is a very good artist and painter. So, i gave her the storyline and asked her to come up with imaginative pictures. And, she really came out in flying colours. Happy and proud to bring out this picture story book for children - Rukmani and Her Jewel Box. Hope you and your kids enjoy the story in English and Tamil.
Let me know if you have any ideas for picture books. The idea is to keep it simple and introduce children to new words and so improve their vocabulary. The story need not always have a moral or lesson. So, happy reading and let me know your thoughts.
