When i first got a mail from Nalandaway, inviting for a meet at French Loaf, the mail subject had the word Bloopers. I have never heard the word Blooper before and thought that they had mispelt the word Blogger. As usual, Google came to help, and i found out that Blooper was something i have been seeing for many years but did not know the name!
Here is the definition of Blooper: A blooper is a short sequence of a film or video production, usually a deleted scene, containing a mistake made by a member of the cast or crew. These bloopers, or outtakes as they are also called, are often the subject of television shows or are occasionally revealed during the credit sequence at the end of comedy movies.
The next new term that i came across was "
Sur Titles". Again i thought, "Shouldn't it be subtitles!" Then i found out the meaning of surtitle:
Surtitles, also known as
supertitles, are translated or transcribed
lyrics/
dialogue projected above a stage or displayed on a screen, commonly used in
opera or other musical performances. The word "surtitle" comes from the
French language "sur", meaning "over" or "on", and the
English language word "title", formed in a similar way to the related
subtitle.
So, blooper and surtitle are two interesting words i learned from AAA 2010. How did a handful of bloggers get to be part of AAA 2010? Our IndiRank (Indiblogger ranking) was 75+ and all of us wrote about children and life. Nalandaway team was not looking for bloggers who wrote about Technology - the group whose Indi rankings were 80 and above.
Did the children of Chennai, performers, and audience enjoy AAA 2010? Let's see some pics to know!
