Almost Single by Advaita Kala

You want to read a book on relationship dramas both at work and otherwise, then Almost Single is a good choice. Very hilarious and down-to-earth, the book lays down a lot of harsh truths in a lucid and funny way. A sure shot guide to all ladies who are working and waiting to walk down the aisle. And for ones who have tied the knot too ;)

Few snippets:

- I have not felt lonely in the longest time, that's true. I bemoan my single status with my friends, but that's just 'habitual banter', a Greek chorus, more for entertainment than an honest espression of misery. I am not discontented or lonely - in fact, far from it. I also know i want a wedding, but am I ready for marriage?

- On the way to the tea machine, i have to walk past the most powerful mafia in the hotel biz, the secretaries. The grandes dames are seated in their order of importance. I bow my head deferentially and flash them my most obsequious smile. Rosie narrows her eyes and waves me over. Shit! Today is just not my day.
